Dafina Bobo
Dafina brings several years of experience in recruitment and a deep commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion to her role as Senior Associate at GoodCitizen. Dafina supports the team by coordinating executive searches and engaging candidates across sectors. She is passionate about helping individuals and mission-driven organizations reach their full potential.
Prior to joining GoodCitizen, Dafina served as a Search Associate at Koya Partners, where she coordinated and managed a high volume of executive searches across the nonprofit and social impact sectors. As part of the team, she leveraged technology to streamline recruitment processes and collaborated closely to tailor search strategies that aligned with client needs and enhanced efficiency. She acted as a thought partner to senior consultants on issues of bias, equity, and inclusion, working to refine search practices that diversify candidate pools with individuals from systemically excluded communities while challenging tokenism and promoting authentic representation.
Before moving into executive search, Dafina dedicated her career to social impact and empowering others. As an Enrollment Manager at Year Up, she led workforce development recruitment initiatives, optimized communication strategies, and integrated recruitment and admissions functions to foster deeper cross-collaboration and enhance the applicant experience. Earlier in her career, Dafina served as an educator at Match Community Day Charter School, providing personalized academic support and mentorship to help students build confidence and recognize their potential. In each of her roles, Dafina has been committed to making the impossible seem possible and building genuine relationships that inspire individuals to become change agents and catalysts for others’ success.
Dafina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies with a Concentration in the Representations of Women of Color on Stage and Screen from Wellesley College.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the arts—especially theatre—volunteering, reading tarot, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
